Details on Minibus driver training

A competent minibus driver training programme may teach defensive driving techniques, talk about different accident types, and lessen the risk of accidents happening. Additionally, being knowledgeable about road safety can help everyone drive more safely by preventing many hazards on the road. If you meet the following requirements, you are permitted to operate a minibus in the UK: you must be at least 21 years old.

Your driving privileges have been valid for at least two years. If you are above 70, you meet the medical criteria for "Group 2"; if in doubt, consult with your doctor. After January 1, 1997, everybody who passes the vehicle driving test does not automatically receive a licence with Category D1 minibus privilege. A driver should pass the standard theoretical test, a medical exam, and the Category D1 test before being allowed to operate a minibus.
