Not one reason is there why himanchal attracts tourists and travellers. And after reading those I am sure after reading this you are also going to make your mind for a trip to Himachal group or solo. So here are 5 reasons why Himachal attracts a lot of solo traveler. And of course, natural beauty of Himachal is quite conspicuous so I’ll exclude that one.

1. Himachali hospitality is the best

Himachali hospitality is hands one of the best in India. It is one of the primary reasons why I love Himachal. To experience the true hospitality of the himachal you need to move out of  the popular tourist resort like Manali, Shimla, Dharamshala, Kasol to experience it.

Rustic villages of Lahaul valley, Spiti valley, Kullu valley, Mandi, Chamba, Kangra are the places you can get to experience the real hospitality of Himachali folks.

2. Robust public transport

This is where Himachal is a clear winner. HRTC is the reason why Himachal attracts more solo travellers than its counterpart Uttarakhand. HRTC is hands down one of the best state transport corperation.

If there is a road, however remote the region might be, there will be an HRTC bus operating. Take for example Manali-Kaza route. Most of the road is not even good enough to be called a road. But HRTC daily runs the services during the summer months.

3. Himachal is one of the safest places for Solo traveler

Himachal is the place where the peoples are very hardworking and have good values. They don’t try to bother the tourists. Instead they make you feel like comfortable by being hospitable and sometimes asking for a cup of tea.

No matter which gender are you If you are in Himanchal you don’t need to worry.

4. Travelling in Himanchal won’t put a hole in your pocket

Well, this is subjective and depends how much a traveller wants to spend, but in general Himachal is very economical.

This one of reasons why solo travelers prefer. A lot of solo travelers prefer traveling on a strict budget. You can decent homestays and hostels at a very nominal rate.

5. Vibrant Culture of Himachal

For me personally, I love exploring the cultural of aspect of Himachal. Himachal has one of the most vibrant cultures in our country. From ancient temples, to incredible festivals Himachal has it all.

And traveling Solo to Himachal, gives me complete freedom to explore the cultural aspect of Himachal. In my recent trips I have developed keen interest on visiting the amazing Katha-Kuni style temples and some amazing Gompas in Lahaul, Kinnaur and Spiti.

Of course the natural beauty of Himachal is one the main reasons why Himachal attracts, but for me personally, these 5 are the most important ones. And I sure many of you might agree with me.

Travellling with a Royal enfield or an SUV would be a great option either solo or in a group and the Ogonn car/bike rental service is a decent option to book a self drive Car/bike.
