This film takes you behind the closed doors of the rich and famous, in this case, the Italian luxury fashion house Gucci .Today, there is not a single person named Gucci involved with the iconic company worth billions. House of Gucci attempts to give you a sense of why that is the case.

𝗦𝗲𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮 𝗚𝘂𝗰𝗰𝗶 : 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝘆 𝗚𝗮𝗴𝗮

Gaga is on the way to Oscar! She is about to be the biggest movie star in history as she is playing the Italian Socialite in the new film. She has transformed into Senora Gucci to perfection.

Also, this film has to be one of the best trailer drops ever, off the hook.

Directed by Ridley Scott , the guy who brought us Gladiator, Alien and Blade Runner. Buckle up everyone. Ridley Scott is such a boss dishing out two movies in one year. This release is a bewildering blend of high fashion, high camp and high tragedy that’s chaotic but also wildly entertaining.

𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮 𝗚𝗮𝘆 𝗙𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗻’𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸

This release was a glossy heavily lacquered soap opera to witness on-screen. Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani is a young woman married into the Gucci family. She was accused and later convicted of hiring a hit man to murder her husband Maurizio Gucci. This story is a very real life scandal.

Ridley Scott was only drawn to the story after reading Sara Gay Forden’s meticulously researched book of the same name. Sara has worked as a fashion reporter in Milan, around the time of Maurizio Gucci’s murder. She spoke to more than one hundred people to create a very detailed account of what actually happened. And, now that book has been adapted and turned into this movie.

She also corresponded with Patrizia in prison which made her the perfect collaborator from the screenplay. Sara Gay Forden is the author of the “𝐇𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐆𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐢” : A sensational story of murder, madness, glamour and greed.

Lady Gaga as Patrizia Reggiani stands out head, shoulders, and stilettos above everyone else. Her Italian accent drift and blow away like so many autumn leaves. What a fabulous cinema autumn can be seen. This film is stuffed with spectacular fashion and music and true crime , so there’s never a dull moment.

This docudrama is filled with people who seem to think they will live forever. The Gucci name belongs to a family dynasty that crave power and building  their business empire of leather – goods created by a former bell-hop, a rag to riches tale we enter.

Patrizia Reggiani is living that Italian , middle class life, working at her father’s trucking company in Milan but it is clear that she wants more out of her life. At a splashy party thrown at an aristocrat’s mansion, she meets Maurizio Gucci ( Adam Driver ) a bookish fellow, a lawyer , who is not awed by his family’s wealth. The moment she hears his last name, her eyes light up and she chases him down, makes it happen and enters the family.

In a nut shell, The marriage ends and everything else goes to south, too. Hard to believe there’s anyone left who doesn’t know how the story ends, but let’s just say it ends badly. The House Of Gucci is based on a real life story of greed and betrayal and tragedy but in the telling here it is busy and beautiful to look at.

This one is visually dazzling my and fun to watch. The Gucci story is like the old shirtsleeves-to-shirtsleeves-in-three-generations maxim , but it’s fascinating to watch the lavish lifestyles of Generation three. As performances , it’s hard to imagine anyone other than Lady Gaga in the role of Patrizia. She is suitably alive, aggressive and ambitious in the role. She owns this thing.

Patrizia Gucci herself has said that she and Maurizio were a beautiful couple who had a beautiful life , that is captured here. Their adult daughters inherited their father’s Gucci fortune but are now estranged from their mother. That’s too bad, as Patrizia had a big role in creating that fortune,  and some would say she had a role in preserving it too. Tune in to House of Gucci , a star studded cast.
