In the launch of 2.0, SCADE aims to support native application development for iOS and Android using Swift. In addition to a number of internal improvements, SCADE 2 also includes an IDE that is native to macOS that replaces the previous Eclipse-based IDE.

SCADE is composed of four parts, each being free to download with the exception of a Swift compilation tool available for Android that supports Swift 5.4; Crystal, an open-platform high-performance graphics engine designed that creates native UIs is an extremely quick native IDE developed to run on macOS as well as Fusion, an open-source cross-platform SDK. Fusion software, which is an open-source , cross-platform SDK that will help developers accelerate their development.

The Nimble IDE is built to be responsive and provide users native experiences, including an emulator that is compatible with iOS and Android.

Crystal is an engine for vector graphics which makes use of own OS controls, including text fields, keyboards cameras, and other methods like drag and drop to give a natural users with a seamless experience.

Fusion may be the most fascinating part in SCADE. Fusion can be used to automate the creation of Swift API to enable access to the Android Java APIs.

Fusion allows accessibility to the Swift library that mimics every Android Java API call.

To be used with iOS, Fusion is just an interface to the Apple iOS SDK that provides developers with abstractions universal for both platforms.

Fusion is currently developing and being developed, and the capability to be able to support Audio Geolocation, Audio NFC and Bluetooth is anticipated to be out soon.

InfoQ has taken this occasion to talk about SCADE and SCADE’s creator Frank Langel to discover more.

Langel: The work we perform is divided into maintenance, and the following phase includes. Maintenance is an opportunity to address bugs while also providing an SCADE version that works with the latest Swift version and Android SDK. Android SDK.

Our main challenge isn’t the lack of new features, but rather to make sure the community of mobile app developers is knowledgeable of these capabilities. A majority of the developers we talk to tell us, “I cannot believe SCADE can do this”.

Our aim is to be focused on the below areas the areas below, and this is where you’ll discover the next crucial elements:

SCADE 2.0 is available for downloaded for free in addition to the premium subscription available for those who require help.
