In the past few decades, Sony has been accelerating its recently formed PlayStation Productions D2R Ladder Items. The production firm is currently working on at minimum 7 well-known projects, some that are beyond the initial stage of being an idea that was sketched on a whiteboard.
A few of these have been shot, others are in the process of preparing for shooting and some are currently in the writing phase, you get the picture. It's safe to say that PlayStation is actually very determined about this endeavor which isn't something that can be said about a lot of other studios who are trying to make video games more adaptable.
PlayStation Productions released its first project earlier in the year in the form of uncharted. Uncharted. The film adaptation of Naughty Dog's most loved game was in making for more than a decadeand has exchanged hands with numerous writers, directors, and actors.
The final film concluded featuring Tom Holland in the role of Nathan Drake and although the film didn't go over well with criticsbut it pulled in a decent amount of money at the box office and sets up another sequel, so it's likely more live action Nathan Drake adventures are on the horizon at some point. An upcoming Uncharted sequel isn't the only thing on Sony's plate however.

The Mandalorian star Pedro Pascal will play Joel Miller and Game of Thrones actor Bella Ramsey will play Ellie Williams Buy Diablo II Resurrected Items, two roles which carry a lot of baggage , both because of their emotional arcs , and also how much they are a character to the fans.
