The Navratri festival is around the corner. This year Sharad Navratri is from 26th Sept to 5th Oct 2022. All the devotees have already started preparing for these auspicious nine Nights Nav Durga Festivities. During these days, people enjoy Garba nights, dandiya, Durga Puja and other events. People wear traditional Navratri Lehenga, Party wear Saree and Anarkali suits to the events. People follow the particular colour of dress for each day. Wearing these colours according to the days is believed to bring peace and harmony.

Navratri Day 1: Orange

On the first day of Navratri, Goddess Mata Shailputri is worshipped. Start your day with the bright and vibrant colour “ORANGE” which signifies energy and happiness.

Navratri Day 2: White

The colour of Day 2 of Navratri is white. On this day, the Goddess of loyalty and wisdom Brahmacharini is worshipped. On this day wear the colour that signifies purity, peace and meditation i.e “WHITE”.

Navratri Day 3: Red

On the third of Navratri people wear “Red” which signifies beauty and fearlessness. The Goddess of bravery, grace and courage “Chandraghanta” is worshipped on this day.

Navratri Day 4: Royal blue

Royal Blue is the colour of Navratri day 4. The colour signifies good health and prosperity. On this day, the Ashtabhuja Devi “Kushmanda '' is worshipped.

Navratri Day 5: Yellow

The colour of Day 5 is yellow- the colour of happiness and brightness. Goddess Skandmata is worshipped on this Day.

Navratri Day 6: Green

On the sixth day of Navratri, Goddess Katyayani is worshipped. People wear Green colour on this day. Green signifies new beginnings and growth.

Navratri Day 7: Grey

The colour of this day is grey. On this day, Hindus worship Goddess Kalaratri – the destroyer of all demons and negative energies.

Navratri Day 8: Purple

On the Kanjak day or the eighth day of Navratri, Goddess Mahagauri is worshipped. Purple is the colour of Kanjak day. The colour signifies the power of intellect and peace.

Navratri 9: Peacock green

On the last day of Navratri, also known as Navami, people wear peacock green. Goddess Siddhidatri is worshipped on this day.
