Despite being constructed of inorganic elements, unlike OLED TVs, micro LED TVs still don't require a backlight to function. The advantage of this is that micro-LEDs may last much longer and don't decay or burn in like organic diodes do (where an image permanently lingers on the screen).
Recall that during the past week, there has been a lot of discussion about Apple's plans to update the display technology used in its products. Apple plans to start producing its own displays internally in addition to switching to Micro-LED, rather than only depending on third parties like Samsung and LG.
