Tasbeeh is an example of how we can use the language of Dhikr to recite the Muslim prayer beads for the adoration of God. The word ‘tasbeeh’ means ‘prayer’, but in Arabic, it is pronounced T’bayybeh. In Urdu, however, it is also written as Taba. The main goal of tasbeeh is to praise God and implore him for almighty help and support. The beads used are called ‘rasbih’ or ‘prayer beads’.
