Follow these steps to troubleshoot and fix your bobbin winder:
1. Remove the top cover of the machine by gently wiggling it off. Make sure not to lose any screws as you do this!
2. Look inside the machine and locate the bobbin winder. You will see a gear wheel and a screwdriver-like object (the Idler Gear) attached to it.
3.Remove the screwdriver-like object by unscrewing it from the gear wheel. Be careful not to lose it, as you will need it to reattach the gear wheel later on.
4. Gently turn the gear wheel until it starts to make a loud noise (it may take a few turns). This is the position where the bobbin is stuck and needs to be freed up.
5. Replace the screwdriver-like object back onto the gear wheel and replace the top cover of the machine.
Parts of the Bobbin Winder
If your bobbin winder is not spinning correctly, there are a few things you can do to fix the issue. First, make sure that the bobbin is in the correct position on the spindle. If the bobbin is not in the correct location, it will not spin properly and may cause the bobbin winder to malfunction the same in a Winding Machine. Next, check to see if the gears are engaging properly. The gears should mesh together when spun and should not come loose or stick. If they do, you may need to replace the gears. Finally, make sure that the arm is not stuck and moving freely. If it is, you may need to lubricate it or adjust it.

How to Fix a Bobbin Winder?
If your bobbin winder isn't turning correctly on your Brother sewing machine, you may need to fix it. Follow these steps to get it working properly:
1. Check the spindle nut to see if it's loose. If it is, make sure that it's tightened up using a wrench.
2. Open the sewing machine and locate the bobbin winder. It should be on the left side of the machine near the needle drive shaft.
3. Unplug the machine and remove the screw that holds the bobbin winder in place. You'll also need to remove the four screws that hold in the detent arm (see photo below).
4. Once those screws are removed, carefully slide the arm off of the spindle (see photo below). Now you can replace the spindle nut if needed and reattach everything with new screws (see photo below).
5. Replace the arm and screw it back into place making sure that it's tightened down properly (see photo below). Reattach all of the other parts, plug in your machine and test it out!

Conclusion
If your bobbin winder is not working properly, there are a few things you can do to try and fix the issue. First, make sure that the bobbin winding wheel is properly installed on the machine. If it isn't, the bobbin winding wheel will not spin and you will be unable to wind your bobbins. Next, check to see if the spindle is turning freely. If it isn't moving freely, it might be broken or jammed and needs to be replaced. Finally, try adjusting the tension on both the upper thread path and lower thread path of the machine.
