IVF involves several phases, and the whole procedure might take many months to complete. It is possible to get pregnant on the first attempt, but many women need more than one round of IVF to become pregnant.
IVF Process
In the first instance, you must take medicine to ensure that many of your eggs are developed and ready for fertilization. The doctor then removes the eggs from your body and combines them with sperm in a laboratory to aid in the fertilization of the eggs by the sperm. Afterwards, they will insert one or more fertilized eggs (embryos) straight into your uterus. If any of the embryos are successfully implanted in the lining of your uterus, you will become pregnant.
