Nanhi Kali is an Indian non-legislative association that supports the education of oppressed young women in India. Established by Anand Mahindra in 1996, mutually supervised by the Naandi Foundation and KC Mahindra Education Trust, which is essential to the Mahindra Group's corporate social commitment practices.
The Nanhi Kali Project sees educating women and young women as a way to make a certain impact on India in the long run. "We need to be vigilant around the world about the predicament of young people in the country who are being denied their basic right," Sheetal Mehta, president of the Non-Benefit Association, told the Daily News & Analysis at a meeting.
