While ladders are the tool of choice for most firefighters, there are other fire vehicles that can be useful. An other preferred choice is a platform fire vehicle. This type of truck is more expensive than a ladder truck because it has a higher platform that enables it to put out fires in the air.
For agencies with acceptable budgets, platform fire vehicles are a fantastic option. They are a good option for heavy water flow as well. Fire Trucks can hold a lot of water, making it simpler to spray water in the desired direction. These fire trucks, however, are less effective for swift-water rescues.
