Brachytherapy
Brachytherapy is a cancer treatment in which radioactive material is injected into the body via a needle or catheter and then sealed inside a seed, pellet, wire, or capsule. The DNA of adjacent cancer cells is harmed by the radiation emitted by this source. Prostate cancer is most frequently treated with brachytherapy. Along with breast cancer, lung cancer, rectal cancer, eye cancer, and skin cancer, it can also be used to treat gynaecologic cancers such uterine (endometrial) cancer and cervical cancer.
