It’s now time to you to know how to go about downloading your UPSC admit card for the

exams.

Before we continue any further, I would like to bring to your attention that the UPSC

admit card for the 2020 UPSC Mains exam that will be held on the 8th of January 2021

onwards, will be out on the UPSC’s official website.

Let us now take a look at the steps to download UPSC Admit card for IAS prelims:

1. The UPSC admit cards are electronic in nature. That means your UPSC admit card will not be sent to you by post, rather you’d have to download it from the official website of the UPSC and take a printout of it.

2. To download your admit card you need to first go over to upsc.gov.in and click on the “admit cards” link on the right side of the page. You can also choose to go to upsconline.nic.in and click on the link called, “e-Admit Cards for various examinations of UPSC”.

3. You will then be redirected to a page where there is a list of the various UPSC exams for which e-admit cards are available. Apart from the ones for exams, e-admit cards are also issued for various recruitment posts and e-summons by the UPSC.

4. Next comes the step where you click on the link called civil services prelims exams (for the particular year) to download your IAS prelims admit card.

5. Before you are able to download your admit card, you will be asked to enter your roll no. or registration Id for the UPSC prelims.

6. The admit card will then open as a PDF. Download it and then take a print out of it. You’ll need to carry the admit card to your prelims exam center in order to be able to sit for both the prelims papers.

Special Scenario:

If in case you have forgotten your registration Id for the prelims, you can click on the “forgot RID” option and enter the required details (Name, Mother’s & Father’s name, and your Date of Birth), then submit to view your registration ID.

After obtaining your Id you can continue with your download process normally.

That’s the end of the final section or the UPSC Admit card section of the article.

I think I have given you adequate information about how to go about downloading your admit card. You need to follow the same step for the mains exam as well.
