Things to know about Zinc Oxide
Zinc Oxide Market

The two main forms of zinc oxide crystallisation are cubic zincblende and hexagonal wurtzite The wurtzite structure is the most typical and most stable at ambient conditions. ZnO can be grown on substrates with a cubic lattice structure to stabilise the zincblende form. Tetrahedral zinc and oxide centres are present in both instances, which is the geometry that best represents zinc (Zn) (II). At relatively high pressures of around 10 GPa, ZnO transforms into the rocksalt motif. ZnO's elastic softness, which is a property of tetrahedral coordinated binary compounds close to the transition to octahedral structures, can be used to explain its many remarkable medical properties.
