Both Virtual and Augmented Reality are emerging technologies that are revolutionising how we interact with displays. With virtual reality, you can explore a world created by a computer by donning a headgear. On the other hand, augmented reality is a little different. Instead than taking you to a virtual environment, it uses a smartphone or clear visor to overlay digital visuals on the surroundings of the actual world.
While VR produces entirely immersive virtual settings, AR only enhances the real-world surroundings. While VR is primarily virtual (75%), AR is just 25% virtual and 75% real. In contrast to VR, where a headset is required, augmented reality does not require one. AR keeps consumers connected to the actual world while interacting with virtual items that are closer to them, whereas VR isolates the user from the real world and immerses him in a wholly fictional universe.
