PaaS, or platform as a service, is a type of cloud computing that offers an operating system. Developers can construct, run, test, and deploy web applications with the help of Platform as a Service (PaaS), which offers infrastructure—server, network, storage, and platform—as well as development tools, database management systems, middleware, and other things. These apps are available from the cloud service provider on a pay-as-you-go basis, and the cloud service provider also looks after the infrastructure. Platform as a Service (PaaS) can be used for cloud-native development, agile development, the internet of things (IoT), analytics or business intelligence, and more. Several PaaS providers exist, including Google App Engine, Force.com, Openshift, Azure, AppFog, VMware Cloud Foundry, etc.
