The Chemical Industry Relies Heavily on Sulfuric Acid for a Variety of Purposes
Sulfuric Acid Market

Sulfuric acid is a concentrated acid that oxidises, dehydrates, or sulfonates the majority of organic molecules and frequently results in charring. It is very reactive and dissolves most metals.

Alcohol and water violently react with sulfuric acid to produce heat. When diluted with water, it combines with the majority of metals to produce flammable hydrogen gas, which poses a risk of explosion. While sulfuric acid does not burn on its own, it is a potent oxidant that speeds up the burning of other chemicals. Poisonous gases are released during a fire. The following toxic byproducts of breakdown are produced: fumes of sulfuric acid, sulphur dioxide, and sulphur trioxide.
