Linderbaum is simply too good to allow this to happen
Linderbaum is simply too good to allow this to happen.
It's true that it's a second round pick -- however, I'm thinking this could be a mess.
For my eyes, Seattle seems intimately aware of the future, and Madden 23 coins is recognizing that they're going to be a terrible team by 2022. I actually envy this about them. This is a team playing to improve their depth and made a splash in the QB-rich atmosphere during the 2023 Madden NFL 23 Draft.
Corral feels like an unnecessary waste in a tidal pool this deep. The mud also affects the water in the coming year. If you don't plan to start with him right away to assess, you're throwing away a selection now and making it difficult to justify a QB next year.
I'm not convinced that Seattle falling into this trap considering the talent remaining on the board. Kaiir Elam is on the board here, Skyy Moore is also available. Why would you not take advantage of two potential building blocks in order to get the QB that might not even be in the conversation in the next year?
We're ever further away from the Madden NFL 23 Draft and on Tuesday Todd McShay published his latest mock draft that features two rounds and several big surprise.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not going to associate NFL 23ate "surprises" with "wrong." The things I've seen in this mock may happen, and there's a lot of logic behind every selection. However, as a Carolina Panthers fan, I might spit out my mouth a little bit in the event that Kennt Pickett is chosen the No. 6 overall -- but I'm digressing.
Check out ESPN and read the full analysis, but here are the main things that jumped out at me.
McShay isn't alone to have Walker rising up the rankings. Hell, over on Madden NFL 23.com Charles Davis has him taking the first pick towards the Jaguars. It's still awe-inspiring to find Walker going with the number. 2 overall selection towards the Lions.
It's just that this wouldn't be a bad pick, it just feels like an overly consolation for me. Detroit clearly needs help with the pass rush, and the dream situation is Aidan Hutchinson is on the board for them However, if he's gone would they really miss out on more reliable things in other positions, and risk on an upside defensive end?
Personally, I don't think so. I'm very happy with the pick and believe Walker will be very good, but you have to remember that the Lions are in a situation to build a solid base. I'd rather see them take the best defensive back or wide receiver even if there isn't an immediate pressing need, vs. seeking to force a pass rusher.
I'm so annoyed because of the accuracy of McShay's justification is here.
"Rhule hired Pickett as the Temple's head coach. Rhule is committed to the signal-caller's pro for the past few weeks. Of all the players, Pickett is the most Madden NFL 23-ready quarterback on the market and his speedy processing speed, seamless pocket presence, and exceptional performance will make Carolina's offense more effective."
I think Pickett will be an adequate Madden NFL 23 quarterback, but I'm not sure about him being a franchise-defining quarterback. This is the low risk high reward choice -and I'm beginning to hate it. I'd rather Carolina opt for Malik Willis, if they are looking to make a bet on a QB in 2022. At least I'm seeing signs that Buy Madden 23 coins Willis could be a top franchise quarterback in the near future when he has the ability to put it all together.
