Learn Simple Sanskrit and Bhagavad Gita with Our Expert Faculty - HUA
In this Course, students will be brought to both the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 1) and simple Sanskrit. Elementary structures of the Sanskrit language will be illustrated through the verses of the Bhagavad Gita. Students will gain familiarity with the script, and rapidly amplify their vocabulary.

LEARN BHAGAVAD GITA (CH. 1) AND SIMPLE SAMSKRITAM 

This path is the 1st in a 16-path sequence which constitutes the Certificate Program in Bhagavad Gita via Samskritam. In this direction, the faculty will lead the students verse by using verse, in series through the Bhagavad Gita, while concurrently unfolding each the meanings of the verses in Chapter 1 as well as the nuances of the language. This direction is a part of the program-Certificate Program in Bhagavad Gita via Sanskrit– Beginner Phase.

Description 

In this Course, students will be brought to both the Bhagavad Gita (Chapter 1) and simple Sanskrit. Elementary structures of the Sanskrit language will be illustrated through the verses of the Bhagavad Gita. Students will gain familiarity with the script, and rapidly amplify their vocabulary. Using special handouts, every verse of the Bhagavad Gita can be expounded to get to the bottom of each the which means of the verse and the structure of the language. Students will learn how to reflect on the Bhagavad Gita from inside the Sanskrit language, as well as the worldview that it embodies.  

Course Content 

This direction is the first in a 16-course collection which constitutes the Certificate Program in Bhagavad Gita through Sanskrit. In this direction, the faculty will lead the scholars verse by way of verse, in sequence via the Bhagavad Gita, while simultaneously unfolding each of the meanings of the verses in Chapter 1 as well as the nuances of the language. This direction may even introduce the scholars to the following elements of the Sanskrit language: verbal roots (dhatu), nouns, pronouns – first, second, and third-individual usage, instances, and common sentence formation and shape used within the Bhagavad Gita.  

Learning Objectives:  

In this path, students may be able to narrate to phrases and expressions from the Bhagavad Gita inside the following regions:  

  • Use of pronouns, folks, and numbers.
  • Recognize commonplace Sanskrit words, prepositions, and phrases. 
  • Discover building blocks of the language through easy normal conversation.
  • Understand the use of the second and sixth case-endings and words finishing with a vowel.
