Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPEs), sometimes known as thermoplastic rubbers (TPR), are a category of copolymers, or a physical mixture of polymers, often a plastic and a rubber, that includes substances having both thermoplastic and elastomeric qualities. The majority of elastomers are thermosets, while thermoplastics can be used in production more readily, for as through injection moulding. They are also recyclable! Although these polymers are true thermoplastics and do not require curing or vulcanization like most rubbers, they are similar to elastomers in that they are highly resilient and can be repeatedly stretched to at least twice their initial length with full quick recovery.
