These'moly steel' alloys are used in engine parts. Other alloys are used in the manufacture of heating elements, drills, and saw blades.
Although it has a lower density than tungsten, Molybdenum is classified as a heavy metal. As a result of this property, some manufacturers prefer molybdenum for their applications.
