Global Alfalfa Seeds Market Key Developments

The alfalfa seeds market is expanding as a result of rising industrial livestock production in response to rising demand for meat products. The production of meat has increased significantly worldwide over the past 50 years; as can be seen, since 1961, total production has more than quadrupled. More than three times as much meat is produced globally today as there was fifty years ago. Production in 2018 was close to 340 million tonnes.

Asia produces the most meat, making up between 40 and 45 percent of global meat production. The largest producers of meat were in Europe and North America, with respective shares of 42 and 25 percent.
