Humic Acid
Humic Acid products are derived from a wide range of sources. The richest products are derived from ancient deposits generated when plants and animals died in wetlands. These huge beds of decomposing material were eventually covered by sand and rock formations and squeezed into even richer deposits. Certain layers were subsequently elevated, and oxygen was reintroduced into the material, which greatly helps Humic Acid synthesis. These raised deposits, known as "lignite" or "leonardite," are mined near the surface. Today, the majority of humic acid products are derived from this source.
