Antimicrobial resistance (AMR), a rising concern to public health, is greatly influenced by the use of antibiotics in animals for growth promotion and infection prevention. While the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations (UN), and the European Union (EU) have taken attempts to limit and reduce the use of Animal Antimicrobials and Antibiotics in animals, these efforts fall short in poor nations where the demand for food animals has been steadily increasing over time. It is crucial that all sectors acknowledge the close connection between human health, animal health, and the environment (the "One Health" approach). To cope with this complicated issue of resistance, all the parties must work together and make concerted efforts.
