Champagne production involves a complex process. During the harvest, grapes are initially hand-picked. The squeezed grapes are then added to a tank for first fermentation. In order to make a basic blend, this produces an acidic solution that is mixed with Pinot Noir, Pinot Blanc, OR Chardonnay.
Yeast and sugar are combined with it for a second fermentation, which is then bottled and kept refrigerated.
