Brazilian Supreme Court orders closure of telegram in the country
Defenders Brazil’s Supreme Court has ordered the closure of the telegram messaging application in the country.The court issued the orders for disregarding the rules and not cooperating with the Brazilian authorities.
The court ordered Apple, Google, and other Brazilian companies to shut down Telegram on their platforms within five days.
According to foreign media, the court’s decision comes at a time when the country’s presidential election will be held in October, when the Brazilian president has one million followers on his telegram account, prompting him to the campaign.
