An Image-Guided Therapy combines therapy with intra-operative imaging and transforms invasive procedures into minimally invasive or non-invasive options
Image-Guided Therapy

Radiation therapy called Image-Guided Therapy (IGT) uses imaging methods throughout each treatment session.  High-energy radiation beams are used in radiation treatment to treat both malignant and non-cancerous malignancies. Image-Guided Therapy makes sure the potent radiation is sharply directed to the treatment area by including precise images.

High-quality pictures are taken before each radiation therapy treatment session when undergoing Image-Guided Therapy. Higher radiation doses may be used with IGT, increasing the likelihood of tumour control and often shortening treatment times. The gold standard of radiation therapy care is IGT. It is applied to all cancer kinds.
