Alloys of steel with molybdenum are stronger, conduct electricity, and resist corrosion.
Molybdenum Market

Molybdenum is a silvery-gray metal that is tough, malleable, and ductile by nature. It has a high melting point, exceptional strength at high temperatures, and a high thermal conductivity. It is important in the manufacturing of iron and steel alloys due to its strong heat resistance. The main Molybdenum deposits are in the United States, China, Canada, and Chile, from which molybdenum is mined. According to the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS), in descending order, China, Chile, the U.S., Peru, Mexico, and Armenia accounted for around 95% of the world's total molybdenum production.
