Sri Lanka is one of the most beautiful islands to visit during your holidays. With diverse cultures and climates, and so much to see, just a few days will simply not be enough to cover it all! One exotic location is the South of the country. ·       Kataragama Temple – A revered place among both Buddhist and Hindu pilgrims, the cultural aspects of Kataragama should not be missed.

·       Hikkaduwa and Unawatuna Beaches – These are the best locations for sun worshippers and romantics and make the ideal destinations for your honeymoon tour in Sri Lanka.

·       Blowhole at Kudawella – An energising and beautiful trek to this natural phenomenon should not be missed.

·       Hiriketiya Beach – For the surfer in you! Hiriketiya beach is both beautiful and the ideal location for surfing.

·       Galle Fort – Visit this ancient relic from the Dutch period in Sri Lanka, and awe at the architectural masterpieces from that era.

·       Kosgoda Turtle Hatchery – Visit a turtle hatchery in Kosgoda and learn all about turtle conservation. You may even get the chance to release a few baby turtles into the sea!

·       Mulirigala Rock Temple – An ancient cave temple, built on four separate levels during different periods in history, this is a must-see site down south.

·       Whale & dolphin watching – If you visit during the right seasons, Mirissa is one of the best places to go whale and dolphin watching in Sri Lanka.

·       Diving and snorkelling – If you want to get up close and personal with marine life, then a diving tour in Hikkaduwa is your best option.

·       Go surfing – Weligama is the best place for you if you want to ride those big waves and enjoy a bit of sun and surf.

·       Stilt fishing – Try out this unique method of fishing while sitting on a stilt! Don’t fall off!

·       Water Sports – The town of Bentota along the southern coast is a hive of activity when it comes to water sports. If you prefer something calmer and quieter, try a tranquil evening river cruise.
