Non-destructive testing is used to detect possible anomalies underwater and to satisfy inspection standards for concrete and steel constructions. Any onshore structure may be subjected to underwater non-destructive testing, monitoring, and inspection via SMADS. We have competent personnel that are CSWIP 3.1U and 3.2U diver inspection certified, allowing us to conduct class surveys on any boats and moorings that require this type of inspection. The Cygnus subsea multiple echo ultrasonic thickness gauge allows divers to measure coatings up to 20 mm thick, uncoated surfaces with extensive back-wall corrosion/pitting, and communicate data to the surface via an underwater umbilical.
