Youth Empowerment is the need of the hour: Mohit Kamboj Bharatiya

The young generation represents more than 70% of India’s population (i.e. below the age of 40 years). According to Mr. Mohit Bharatiya, the youth have a significant role to play in bringing about social changes, financial progress, and prosperity in the country. Empowering the youth is critical for the country’s progress as well as an individual’s advancement.
In India, the Youth Development Index (YDI) serves as an advising and monitoring tool for youth development. It aids in identifying priority areas, gaps, and alternative approaches that are unique to each state. Due to the persistence of structural inequities, the index also includes a new component of social inclusion to assess the inclusiveness of societal progress. In order to empower Indian youth, we should focus on effectively addressing the problems faced by our youth and the related solutions. For this, Mr. Mohit Bharatiya expresses the vision he has for our youth with 5 key points:
Firstly we should generate a great workforce capable of working for the betterment of the country and making a long-term commitment to the country’s development. This goal’s priority areas are education, entrepreneurship, employment, and skill development.
It is important to raise a robust and healthy generation capable of facing future problems. The primary focus areas for achieving this goal are health and sports. The policy promises to promote a healthy sports culture among adolescents as a result of this. It also ensures that sports and associated talent receives support and development.
Another significant goal of the strategy is to promote community service; it focuses primarily on community participation through programs that provide youngsters with more opportunities to engage in and contribute to grassroots development activities in their local areas. The promotion of social entrepreneurship is also considered as a strategy to involve the youth in the building of society under this goal.
Another important goal we need to pursue is civic engagement at all levels of government. To accomplish this goal, we should encourage youth development programs. Also, we need to establish a platform for youth engagement in governance at all levels.
Our final agenda is to assist at-risk adolescents and offer equitable opportunity, especially for all marginalized youth. The most essential area of effort under this purpose is social justice. The most important area of effort for this goal is empowering adolescents to eliminate unjust societal behaviors. The initiative also intends to improve access to justice at all levels.
With these key elements, the youth will be ably empowered to contribute to society in a meaningful way, added Mohit Kamboj aka Mohit Bharatiya. In short, YDI may be explored and used to play an important part in developing the youth of this country. Focusing on our youth is the first step toward self-sufficiency. It is past time for us to gather the political will to provide a viable future for our youth.
