The Verizon Wireless Speed Test app lets you measure the download and upload speeds of your mobile device over Wi-Fi networks. You can use the app to check the speed of your connection at home, work, or any public hotspot.
To get started, open the app and select the network you want to test. Tap the arrow icon in the top right corner of the screen to view your current data usage. If you're not connected to a network, tap Connect to begin testing.
There are several things you should know about the Verizon Wireless Speed Test app.
• You can only test the speed of your connection if you're connected to a Wi-Fi network.
• You can't test the speed of your cellular connection.
• Your results aren't accurate until they've been processed by the server.
• Results are displayed in Mbps (megabits per second).
• You can't compare your results to those of others.
• The app doesn't provide information about your coverage area.
