As well as Quran in Arabic, the English version of the Quran differs according to the copy, so some copies contain 485 and other copies up to 695 pages.

Besides the: how many pages in Quran?, many people wonder about the number of verses of the Quran, the answer to this question, the Quran verses number is 6,348 with112 verses of a basmala.

(بِسْمِ اللَّـهِ الرَّحْمَـٰنِ  الرَّحِيمِ)

that don’t have numbering, but without counting the basmalah among the verses, the number of verses of the Quran is 6236.

The Quran is divided into parts and each part is called a juz in Arabic or para in Urdu.

The number of pages in one para depends on how many pages in the Quran you carry its copy but the standard Quran has 604 pages in total, each para contains 20 pages and most of the quranic applications follow this system with the same page number.

These divisions are created to help the reader to complete reading the Quran in 30 days by reading the same amount every day, and to encourage kids to memorize the Quran easily.

The Quran consists of thirty juze or para, each juz contains a standard number of pages of about 20 pages.

Each juz consists of two parts that are called hizb

There are 60 ahzab in the Musshaf and each Hizb (group) is subdivided into four quarters, making eight quarters per juz; there are 240 of these quarters in the Quran. These quarters are often used as practical sections for revision when memorizing the Quran.

The most commonly memorized juz (para) is juz (amma) (عَمَّ)

the 30th juz in the Quran, containing 78 surahs through 114 surahs of the total Quran, with most of the shortest surahs of the Quran.

Juz (amma)(عَمَّ) is named, like most juzes, with 1st word of its 1st verse in the 1st surah of 78 surahs.

Since parents are responsible to teach their kids what is good and beneficial, Muslim families all around the world put learning Quran for kids as a priority and try to find the best way for teaching them, and following points may help you in your mission:

The chapter is a word that is equivalent to “surah” in the Quran. There are al Quran surah 114 or chapters in the Quran, each one divided into a variable number of verses (ayats). The Quran chapters are of unequal length; the shortest surah (Al-Kawthar) has only three ayat while the longest surah (Al-Baqara) contains 286 verses.

The Quran 114 chapters of the Quran are classified as Meccan and Medinan, 86 surahs are Meccan which was revealed before the migration of Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) to Medina (Hijeah), while 28 are Medinan were revealed after (Hijrah).

Among the suspicions which are raised about the Quran is; If the Quran became a book for all of humanity, then why did Allah monitor it within the Arabic language, and didn’t reveal it in another language?

The answer for this question we say: the revelation of the Quran – like other heavenly books – had to be in one of the living languages spoken by people at the time of the revelation of the Quran,  and the Arabic language was one of the most important languages in that time.

Also, any heavenly book should be revealed in the language of the prophet who was revealed with, so it was obvious to choose the Arabic language instead of other languages since it is the language that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) spoke.

On the other hand, Any messenger should speak in the language of the people he was sent among them, and the Quran referred to this matter:وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَا مِن)

 رَّسُولٍ إِلاَّ بِلِسَانِ قَوْمِهِ لِيُبَيِّنَ لَهُمْ فَيُضِلُّ اللّهُ مَن يَشَاء وَيَهْدِي مَن يَشَاء وَهُوَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ),

So it was normal for the Quran to be revealed in Arabic, which is the language of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and the language of his people.

Another reason which makes the Arabic language the proper choice, the characteristics of the Arabic language, the flexibility of its expresspresions, its phonetic characteristics, and the possibility of arabizing incoming words, all those advantages make it the right choice.

The Quran is Allah’s(ﷻ)Words that he spoke in truth, whether in terms of its letters or meanings. It was revealed to the prophet Muhammed (ﷺ) through hearing; Gabriel(عٍلُِيه الُِسلُِام

) heard it from Allah(ﷻ), the prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) heard it from Gabriel(عٍلُِيه الُِسلُِام

), and the Prophet Muhammad’s(ﷺ) friends heard from him.

The Quran is the undistorted book of the Islamic religion that Allah(ﷻ) accepted for us.

The Quran was revealed in Ramadan as Allah said in the Quran🙁 شَهْرُ رَمَضَانَ الَّذِي أُنْزِلَ فِيهِ الْقُرْآنُ هُدىً لِلنَّاسِ وَبَيِّنَاتٍ مِنَ الْهُدَى وَالْفُرْقَانِ), and a group of sheikhs of Islam including ( Ibn Kathir, Muhammad ibn Ishaq, and Abdullah ibn Umar, went to that Quran were revealed in Ramadan, but they differed in determining the day.

Also, the revelation of the Quran was in two stages, the first stage was in Makkah before the prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) migration to Medina(Hijrah), and the second stage was in Medina after the (Hijrah).

The Quran is the final and definitive words of Allah to his creations, so every Muslim must reflect and contemplate upon every ayah in the Quran and adhere to it in all his life.

Also, It has been reported in the Sunnah that indicates the people of the Quran are have the highest status with Allah, Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) says:-

(إِنَّ للهِ أهلِينَ مِنَ الناسِ قالوا: من هُمْ يا رسولَ اللهِ؟ قال أهلُ القرآنِ هُمْ أهلُ اللهِ وخَاصَّتُهُ)

and on the day of resurrection, the status of the reciter of Quran in paradise will be at the last verse he recites, that what Prophet Muhammad(ﷺ) told us:

(يُقالُ لصاحِبِ القرآنِ اقرأ وارتَقِ ورتِّل كما كنتَ ترتِّلُ في الدُّنيا فإنَّ منزلَكَ عندَ آخرِ آيةٍ تقرؤُها)

In this article, we tried to answer the question: how many pages are in the Quran? This is a very important question because the division of the Quran into pages, juzes, Hizb, and verses makes it easier to recite, and encourages you and your kids to memorize the Quran.
